英検®準2級二次試験(面接)の試験概要

英検®2級の二次試験(面接)は、音読・イラスト描写・受験者自身の意見を問う質問で構成されています。一次試験に合格した人だけが受験できます。ただし、S-CBTで受験する場合は、1日で4技能全てのテストを受けるため、他の分野と同時進行で対策が必要です。

試験の流れ

試験の流れは以下の通りです。

入室・挨拶
パッセージ(短い英文)の音読
パッセージに関する質問(1問)
イラストを見てストーリーを説明(1問)
受験者の意見を問う質問(2問)
挨拶をして退室

試験時間は約7分と短いですが、集中力が求められます。

合格点は？

英検®準2級二次試験(面接)では、大きく分けて「音読」「各質問への回答」「態度」の3つの要素が採点されます。

音読： 5点満点
各質問への回答： 5点×3問 + 10点×1問 = 25点満点
態度点(Attitude)： 3点満点

合計33点満点で採点されます。

この素点がCSEスコアに変換され合否判定されるのですが、二次試験は650点満点中460点が合格基準点とされています。これは単純計算で全体の約70%のスコアが必要ということです。合格圏に安全に入るためには、7割以上のスコアを目指して学習を進めていきましょう。

英検®準2級二次試験(面接)の試験概要

英検®2級の面接で合格するには、声に出して練習することが何よりも大切です。頭の中でわかっていても、口から英語が出てこなければ意味がありません。

独学でできる練習法

毎日、声に出して練習しましょう。パッセージを音読したり、質問に答えたりする練習を続けることで、英語が口に馴染んできます。

自分の声を録音する: スマートフォンの録音機能を使って、自分の声を録音してみましょう。聞き返すと、「この発音があいまいだな」「話すスピードが速すぎるかも」といった、自分では気づきにくい改善点が見つかります。
日本語で回答を組み立てる: 質問されてもすぐに英語が出てこない場合は、まず日本語で答えを考え、それを英語にしてみましょう。この練習を繰り返すことで、質問に対する答えをスムーズに作れるようになります。

協力者を見つけて実践的な練習をしよう

家族や友だちに面接官役をお願いし、本番さながらの模擬試験をやってみましょう。また、時間を計って練習することで、本番の緊張感に慣れることができます。

本番を想定した練習: 本番と同じ流れで、入室から退室までを練習してみましょう。面接官役の人に質問を読んでもらい、それに答える形で進めていきます。
フィードバックをもらう: 練習後には、面接官役の人から「声が小さい」「アイコンタクトが取れていない」などのフィードバックをもらうと、自分の弱点が分かり効果的な学習ができます。

これらの練習を地道に続けて、自信を持って本番に臨みましょう。
