I agree with the idea that public surveillance cameras should be increased in urban areas. I have two reasons.
First of all, public surveillance cameras play an important role in reducing crimes. Some research show that cities that have implemented certain amount of the cameras have less numbers of crime cases. We can see the effect of setting cameras from this data.
Secondly, some people worry about invasion of privacy by surveillance cameras but that is not a case. Recently more and more people are aware of the importance of privacy and become careful about the use of surveillance tapes. Most data are strictly managed that others cannot easily access or hack into the record.
In conclusion, there are some people who worry about the implementation of more public surveillance cameras but I do believe that those cameras should be increased in urban areas considering its merits.(148語)

I agree with the idea that public surveillance cameras should be increased in urban areas. I have two reasons.

*1 一般論としての「犯罪全体」を指す場合は、不可算名詞の crime を用いるのが自然です。（個々の個別犯罪事件を指す場合は crimes となりますが、ここでは不可算が適当です。）

*2 research は不可算名詞（集合名詞）なので、単数扱いとなります。動詞は三人称単数の shows に修正します。

*3 cameras は可算名詞（数えられる名詞）なので、量を表す amount ではなく a certain number of に修正します。また、a の抜けも補います。

Secondly, the cost of installing and maintaining these cameras is extremely high. Tax incomes should be spent on more urgent issues, such as public healthcare or education, rather than placing thousands of cameras across cities.
For these reasons, I do not believe that the number of public surveillance cameras should be increased in urban areas.(126語)

*2 「税収入」を指す場合、Tax incomes ではなく Tax revenue（不可算名詞）または Taxpayers’ money と表現するのが自然です。
