I disagree that all stores should be closed on national holidays.
First, such a policy could negatively affect people’s welfare. Many individuals use national holidays to relax, spend time with family, or enjoy hobbies, and they often rely on stores for food, daily necessities, or leisure activities. If all stores were closed, people would face unnecessary inconvenience and might struggle to manage their plans or meet their needs during these limited days off.
Second, closing all stores would lead to serious economic consequences. Retail businesses depend heavily on holiday sales, and shutting down on these days would reduce their profits significantly. This could also harm part-time workers who rely on holiday shifts to earn extra income. In the long term, the overall economy might weaken.
For these reasons, all stores should not be closed on national holidays, as doing so would harm both individuals and the economy. (147語)
