I agree that parents should not allow their children to use social media freely.
First, excessive use of social media can harm children’s health. Spending long hours on screens may cause eye strain, sleep problems, and reduced physical activity. In addition, exposure to online content can negatively affect mental health, leading to anxiety or stress in some children.
Second, social media can interfere with study time. Children may spend hours scrolling through feeds or chatting online instead of focusing on homework or learning new skills. This can reduce academic performance and make it difficult for them to develop good study habits.
For these reasons, parents should not allow their children to use social media freely, as doing so can protect both their health and their educational development. (127語)
